How we help around Clean Truck Check
California’s Clean Truck Check programme applies to nearly every diesel and alternative-fuel vehicle over 14,000 lbs GVWR operating in the state. Testing is currently required twice a year, and CARB has scheduled that to rise to four times a year from October 2027. Because compliance is tied to registration, a vehicle that stays non-compliant can end up unable to renew — which takes the unit off the road for reasons that have nothing to do with whether it runs.
Fleets almost never fail these checks at random. They fail because of a specific, findable fault: an emissions-related code stored in the ECM, an aftertreatment system that is not doing its job, a sensor reporting something the truck cannot correct. That is diagnostic work, and it is what we do.
