On-Site Truck Repair for Long Beach Port Fleets

We dispatch to Long Beach — roughly 25 miles south of our Glassell Park base — working the I-710, I-405, SR-47 and SR-91 corridors. Every job happens on-site at your yard, scheduled around when your units are standing still.

The district

What we see in Long Beach

Long Beach sits at the bottom of the 710, where the harbour freight starts. The fleets working out of here run the same punishing profile as the rest of the port corridor — short heavy runs, long idle, tight windows — with the added complication that a lot of them are small operators for whom a single unit going down is a meaningful percentage of capacity.

It is the far end of our coverage, and we would rather be straight about that than pretend otherwise. Call and we will tell you when we can realistically be at your yard, so you can decide between waiting for us and using somebody closer.

Typical work here

What we do in this district

  • Drayage and harbour fleet PM programmes
  • Emissions, DPF and derate repair on port duty cycles
  • Air brake, wheel-end and suspension work at the yard
  • CNG and LNG service for harbour and municipal operators

Worth knowing

One thing about Long Beach

Alternative fuel has a real footprint around the harbour, and it is the capability most operators struggle to source locally. If you run natural-gas units and have been told the dealer is your only option, it is worth a conversation.

Long Beach questions

Do you actually come as far as Long Beach?

We do, and it is the far end of our core coverage. Distance matters less than whether we can get there in time to be useful, so call and we will give you a straight answer about timing rather than a booking we cannot honour.

We run natural-gas units at the harbour. Can you service them?

Yes. We service Cummins natural-gas platforms — the engines used across refuse, municipal and transit applications — and very few operations in Los Angeles will take that work on.

We are a four-truck operation. Are we too small?

No. Small operators feel a unit going down harder than anyone, because there is nothing spare to cover it. Programmes get scoped to the fleet you actually have rather than a minimum unit count.
