Maintenance scoped to how the truck is actually worked

Two trucks with identical odometers can be in completely different condition. A tractor doing stop-start port runs accumulates engine hours, regen cycles and brake wear far faster than a line-haul unit covering the same distance on the open road. Building a maintenance schedule off mileage alone is how fleets end up doing unnecessary services on some units and missing failures on others.

We scope programs around duty cycle, engine hours, the DOT and BIT inspection calendar, and what the first few services actually turn up on your equipment. That means the interval tightens where a unit is being worked hard and relaxes where it is not.

What a standard inspection covers

Engine oil and filters, the air brake system, wheel-end and tire wear, fluid levels, battery and electrical, DPF and emissions, and the DOT inspection points — documented per unit so the records are ready when the CHP arrives for a terminal audit.

How often should a Class 5–8 truck get preventative maintenance?

Mileage charts are a starting point, not an answer. A short-haul truck doing stop-start port runs racks up engine hours far faster than its odometer suggests, so we build intervals around your actual duty cycle, your DOT inspection calendar and what we find on the first few services.

Can you service our fleet at our own yard?

Yes, and that is usually the point. We bring the shop to your yard and work around your dispatch schedule, including overnight and off-shift, so trucks are serviced while they would otherwise be parked instead of losing a revenue day sitting at a shop.

What is the difference between a PM service and a DOT or BIT inspection?

A PM service is maintenance — fluids, filters, wear items, adjustments — done to stop failures happening. A DOT or BIT inspection is a compliance check against a legal standard, documented for the CHP or a DOT auditor. We do both, and scheduling them together saves a second visit.

Do you keep the inspection records for a CHP terminal audit?

Yes. Every inspection and service is documented per unit, so when the CHP arrives for a terminal audit the paperwork is already in order. Missing records are one of the most common reasons an otherwise well-maintained fleet fails an audit.

What does a fleet PM program cost?
