Specialized Fleet Services is a mobile heavy-duty diesel operation based in Glassell Park, working at fleet yards across Greater Los Angeles since 2013.
Background
Dealership training, without the dealership wait
The team behind Specialized Fleet Services carries roughly thirty years in truck repair, including seventeen years working inside Freightliner and International OEM dealerships before starting the company. That is where the diagnostic discipline comes from — factory software, factory procedures, and the habit of finding the actual fault rather than swapping parts until the light goes out.
What changed when we went mobile is the waiting. A fleet does not have to surrender a truck to a shop queue for a fault that can be diagnosed and corrected where the truck already stands — in your own yard, overnight or off-shift, while the unit would be parked anyway.
What we work on
Engines and chassis
Cummins and Detroit Diesel, including the Cummins natural-gas platforms used in refuse trucks, municipal heavy-duty fleets, and transit and school buses. On the chassis side: Freightliner, International, Isuzu, Hino, Autocar.
We are not a roadside assistance or towing service — every job happens on your property, where there is room to do the work properly.
Alternative fuel is the part most Los Angeles shops will not touch. If you run CNG or LNG and have been told to take it to a dealer, talk to us first.
How we work
Two ways fleets use us
A unit down in the yard
Dispatch sends a technician out with OEM software, air brake and wheel-end tooling and DPF regen equipment already on board.
Contract PM
A scheduled program scoped to duty cycle and the DOT/BIT calendar, run at your yard, documented per unit for terminal audits.
How we quote
No invented numbers
An on-site call is billed as travel, diagnostic and labour time plus parts. Mobile rates sit above shop rates because the shop comes to you — and what usually decides the real cost is diagnostic accuracy, since a fault found correctly the first time is far cheaper than three parts swapped on a guess.
